Build-A-Bear at Sea: Carnival Brings the FUN for the Kids, Too! 🧸🚢

Carnival has a bit of a reputation as a party boat, and for good reason. There’s tons of drinks, dancing, music, and a little bit of (mild) debauchery. Those are all ingredients for a good time, if you ask me. Even if you don’t want to drink in front of your kids or for them to see the full grandeur of a dance-off, there’s plenty on board for them to do, too.

On our last Carnival Cruise, we tried out the Build-A-Bear at Sea event. To be fair, our kids like stuffies more than a lot of kids, and a special one from a destination they love isn’t exactly unusual. But Build-A-Bear at Sea on Carnival is pretty unique!

In our experience, the kids club staff transformed the Limelight Lounge into a full-on Build-A-Bear Workshop. There were Carnival-exclusive animals and clothes, and it wasn’t any more expensive than a trip to Build-A-Bear at the mall! What made the experience even cooler was that the cruise director showed up to lead the event, and all the kids rubbed the little hearts that go on the bear on their heads, bellies, hearts, and so on together.

On our cruise, the bears cost $28 each, and the girls each picked about $25 worth of accessories. As far as onboard activities go, it’s not too much of an upcharge, and it really lights the little ones up. 🌟
