Splash Down in Cozumel: The Ultimate Aquatic Paradise for Enthusiasts! 🌊🐠

Cozumel isn’t just a popular cruise stop; it’s a treasure trove of all-inclusive resorts and a world-renowned diver’s paradise. 🐠 With vibrant reefs, strong currents, and crystal-clear waters teeming with fish, corals, and other marine life, it’s a dream destination for underwater enthusiasts. 🤿

There are countless ways to enjoy the water in Cozumel. For our family, we opted for a shore snorkeling excursion with Carnival Cruise Line, as our youngest was a bit too small for a snorkeling boat. 🏝️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We arrived in Puerta Maya early, and the crew of the Breeze, along with local authorities, had us cleared to debark by 7:30 AM! ⏰ Our first stop was the Ron Jon Surf Shop (I have a special place in my heart for Ron Jon’s 🏄‍♂️). Afterward, we explored Puerta Maya until it was time for our excursion. 🛍️

We enjoyed a refreshing smoothie, explored the area, and discovered a circular garden filled with tortoises, aquatic turtles, and iguanas. 🐢🦎 This garden turned out to be my 6-year-old’s favorite part of Cozumel! 😊

After a scenic bus ride to a beach club, we donned our snorkel gear and swam into the current for about 20 minutes. 🐠 We admired the vibrant coral growth on the rocks and the multitude of colorful fish, then drifted back peacefully. 🌊

With plenty of time before we needed to return to the ship, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the beach club and checked out the pool. 🍽️🏊‍♂️ Later, we headed back to the Build-A-Bear at Sea event that our kids had been eagerly saving their money for all week. 🧸✨ Stay tuned for more about Carnival’s Build-A-Bear at Sea event in a future post!
